Care Instructions

Keep your fruit flies at room temperature (24–28 °C) in the cup provided. Avoid direct sunlight and store them in a well-ventilated area. Replace cultures every 2–3 weeks to maintain a healthy population. If the culture starts to dry out, lightly mist the sides of the container to restore humidity.

Our Hydei flies are completely flightless and thrive in Singapore’s humid climate. With a slightly longer maturity period (around 14–16 days), they breed steadily and are easier to manage compared to faster-multiplying species. Their larger size (3–4 mm) makes them suitable for pets transitioning from tiny Melanogaster flies to bigger insects like pinhead crickets
